How does the Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer work?
It's our permanent offer. No codes, no minimum, no expiration. Add any 3 posters or canvas to your cart and the cheapest one is automatically free at checkout. Mix sizes, mix formats, mix collections. The discount applies across the whole catalog.
If you want to push it further: add 5 items and we make the 2 cheapest free (Buy 3 Get 2 Free). It's all automatic.
Why this isn't a sale: our mother used to say nobody should have to choose between two prints they love. We agree.
When will my order ship?
We print to order in Iowa, every piece. Production usually takes 1-2 business days, then your order ships via USPS with tracking.
Standard US delivery: 2-5 business days after shipping. Hawaii, Alaska, and US territories: add 7-12 business days. Most customers get their print within a week of ordering.
During peak season (November-December), production may take up to 3 business days. We'll always email you the moment your tracking is live.
What does shipping cost?
$6.90 flat under $75. FREE on orders $75 and up. Which is basically every Buy 2 Get 1 Free bundle.
We don't pass shipping surprises at checkout. The price you see is the price you pay.
Can I cancel or change an order?
Within the first hour of ordering: yes, no problem. Email us right away. After that, the print is usually already on the press in Iowa and we can't recall it.
If we miss your cancellation window and you've changed your mind, write to us anyway. We'll do what we can. Often a different size or design in exchange is the right answer.

About the prints
What sizes do you offer?
Three sizes for every design:
- 30 × 40 cm (12 × 16"). Compact, perfect for gallery walls and tight spaces
- 50 × 70 cm (20 × 28"). Our most popular size, hits the sweet spot above couches and beds
- 70 × 100 cm (28 × 40"). Statement format, fills walls beautifully

Poster vs Canvas. What's the difference?
Poster: premium matte 200gsm archival paper, ships rolled in a sturdy tube. You frame it yourself, or use one of our frames as an add-on. Best for layered gallery walls.
Canvas: 100% cotton stretched on a solid pine wood frame, ready to hang out of the box. Best as a single statement piece on a wall. Same designs available in both formats.
What paper and inks do you use?
Our paper is a 200gsm premium matte from a small mill in Michigan. FSC-certified, acid-free, archival grade. The kind that doesn't yellow, warp, or feel like a poster from a college dorm.
We print with archival pigment-based inks (giclée process) that hold true color for 75+ years under normal indoor light. No fading, no color shift. Resolution: 300 DPI minimum.
Do you offer frames?
Yes. Three families, seven finishes. On every product page you can add a frame as an optional upsell:
- Natural wood (Natural Oak, Espresso, White Wood)
- Painted wood (Black Wood)
- Brushed metal (Matte Black, Brushed Silver, Gold / Brass)

Do you offer personalized or custom prints?
Custom personalized prints are coming in mid-2026 / we're building the tool now. For now, our Personalized Prints collection lets you add a name or short text to a handful of templates.
If you have a specific request (a custom illustration, a family poem, a tribute print), email us. Sometimes Emma takes on small commissions when her schedule allows.
Can I order in bulk for an office, school, or event?
Yes. We've shipped to interior designers, restaurants, dorms, classrooms, and one very large bookstore in Portland.
For orders over 15 prints we offer dedicated pricing and direct shipping. Email contact@atelierposter.com with the rough scope (number of pieces, sizes, deadline) and Iris will send you a quote within a business day.
RETURNS & GUARANTEE
Returns & guarantee
What's your return policy?
30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you're not in love with your print, email us within 30 days for a free reprint or a full refund. You don't need to return the original (unless it's a framed canvas. We'll send a return label).
We don't ask why. Sometimes a print looks different on a wall than on a screen, and that's okay.
My print arrived damaged. What now?
That happens once in a while in transit, and we're truly sorry when it does. Send a photo to contact@atelierposter.com within 30 days and we'll ship a free replacement within 24-48 hours. Keep or recycle the damaged one. No return needed.
How long does a refund take?
Once we approve it, refunds land in your account within 5-7 business days via the original payment method (Visa, MC, AmEx, PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay).

About us
Who's behind Atelier Poster?
Two sisters: Emma (designer, RISD class of 2018) and Iris (operations, University of Iowa art history). We started this in February 2025 in a kitchen in Iowa City. Read our full story →
Where are you based?
Paris and Iowa City, Iowa. Our printing partner is forty miles east. Also in Iowa. Everything ships from a single fulfillment center, which is why we can promise 2-5 day delivery within the continental US.
Do you have a physical store?
Not yet. We sometimes pop up at design fairs in Chicago, Minneapolis, and the Iowa City book fair every October. Subscribe to our newsletter for advance notice.
How can I get in touch?
The fastest way is to email us: contact@atelierposter.com. Iris answers most days, Emma when she's between drawings. We don't have a phone line (yet). We'd rather take an extra hour to write a thoughtful answer than rush a call.
